In 2019 Kao has developed a Micro Defense formula that uses a capsule packed with a UV protection agent. This sun gel was then refomulated to combine strong UV protection with light-to-the-touch texture.

When applied it covers like a second skin. The formula allows for an even application of the sunscreen by forming a fine veil on the skin and spreading into micro crevices, which was made possible by Kao's Micro Defense technology. 

A light application will protect the skin against UV effects with fresh sensations. The new sunscreen is one of Kao's top-selling sun protection products for twelve years running.

This super lightweight high SPF broadspectrum suncreen is formulated with the most of photostable chemical filters that are Octinoxate, Tinosorb S, Uvinul A Plus, and Uvinul T 150 to provide a solid protection for your skin from the sun's UVB and UVA rays.

It also contains hyaluronic acid and royal jelly to hydrate the skin.

It gets absorbed immediately after you're done with the application to form a protective and smooth base for your makeup. It's gentle and doesn't normally sting the eyes.

It is waterproof for up to 80 minutes.

How to use:

• Use as the last step of your morning skincare routine. Apply a 1/4 of a teaspoon amount onto face and lightly pat in to aid absorption.
• Apply 30 minutes prior to sun exposure to enable the product to be fully absorbed into the skin.
• Make sure to apply sunscreen well on areas of the face that are most exposed to the sun such as under the eyes, around the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose and forehead.
• Avoid the sun from 11am to 3pm when it is at its strongest.
• Reapply every 2 hours.
